What We Believe
1 We believe that The Bible is the inspired ( " God-breathed") and infallible Word of God ( Numbers 23:19; Matthew 24:35; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1: 19-21).
2 We believe that the Trinity, referred to in scripture as "The Godhead", is comprised of 3 distinct personages; and though mysterious and beyond full human comprehension, are synergistically One ( Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:8-9).
3 We believe that mankind is in a fallen spiritual state; and that God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to redeem humanity from their sins ( Genesis 2:16-17; Matthew 1:18-21; John 14:5-6; Acts of the Apostles 4:10-12; Romans 5:8-11).
4 We believe that salvation is based on God's grace through faith in Christ's substitutionary work on the cross, and not by an individual's works or acts of righteousness or goodness ( Romans 3:23-25; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 John 4:10).
5 We believe that Christian conversion is based upon an individual's belief in Christ's substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead to justify that individual personally from his or her sins, and a confession of these truths and Christ's lordship ( John 3:1-5; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-23; 1 John 4:10).
6 We believe that Christ's blood shed at the cross redeems the individual who is penitent from his or her sins ( Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 1:3-7;
Colossians 1:12-14).
7 We believe that water baptism is an outward act that signifies in the inward work of salvation , and that also aids the sanctification process in the life of the believer ( Mark 16:16; Acts
22:10-16; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:18-21).
8 We believe in the bodily resurrection of regenerated Christians , and their translation , or "catching away", along with the fellow believers who are alive at the time to Heaven in/at " The Rapture"( John 5:24-29; Acts 24:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:51-55; 2 Corinthians 5:1-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17).
9 We believe in eternal life in a glorified state and place for Christians; and eternal judgment and damnation for unbelievers in Hell, then the Lake of Fire ( Matthew 10:38; Luke 23:32-43; John 11:25-26; Revelation 20:11-15).
10 We believe in the Baptism or Infilling of the Holy Ghost as a second work of grace, subsequent to salvation; and that its initial evidence is the supernatural utterance in an unlearned language or tongue ( Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-11; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:1-6).
11 We believe in Christian living in accordance with New Testament doctrine ( 1 Corinthians 3: 10-17; Galatians 5:13-26; Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:1-25; Hebrews 12:4-14; 2 Peter 1:1-8).
12 We believe in anointing with oil and laying on of hands for prayer, and also for consecration for Christian service. ( 1 Samuel 16;12; Mark 6:7-13; 1 Timothy 4:14; James 5:14-15).
13 We believe in the observance of holy communion to commemorate Christ's death on the cross ( Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
14 We believe in the financial support of the ministry through tithes and offerings ( Malachi 3:8-11; Luke 6:38; 1 Corinthians 6:1-3; 2 Corinthians 8; 8-15).
