Attention Friends: Election Day is rapidly approaching. It is November 5th. This year there have been many changes, with drastically shortened early, in-person voting time; fewer drop boxes and fewer hours to access them, etc. Check the election  calendar  and rules  from  the most reliable sources in your state ( preferably .gov sources) if you live outside of Georgia to make sure that you do not miss deadlines for registering, early voting, absentee ballot requests, etc. If  you live in Georgia, here are some key dates:
Deadline to Register to vote: Oct. 7th
Early in-person voting: Oct.15-Nov.1
Last day to request absentee ballot: Oct.25th
*** If you vote absentee, please bear in mind: Counties  do not begin to mail out ballots until Oct. 7th, and are giving themselves up to 2 weeks to get a ballot to you by mail, and are saying that it may take up to 2 weeks for those ballots to get back to them by mail ; so plan accordingly to make sure that your vote counts.
