Points to Remember

-God has made all members of the Body of Christ a part of “ a royal priesthood”, with spiritual authority to plead their own causes, as well as those of others-fellow believers and unbelievers, alike-before God, in prayer. -Our battles are spiritual, and not against “ flesh and blood”, or PEOPLE- spouses, family members; fellow church members ;neighbors; exes; bosses; co-workers; racial/ethnic, nor other groups; politicians; political parties , which are comprised of people, etc.- but against “ principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness [ or “wicked spirits”] in high [ or “heavenly”] places” ( See Ephesians 6:12).

-Just as Old Testament priests offered animal sacrifices to God, New Testament believers , as New Testament priests, are to offer up praise, worship, and prayers to God as “ spiritual sacrifices”( See 1 Peter 2:5).

-Jesus is the True and Eternal High Priest, who is our heavenly advocate.

-The Baptism with the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to enter into deeper realms of prayer, and is also the gateway into the gifts of the Spirit.
