Points to Remember

-The Lord communicates His will to His people in various ways; but the way that He speaks to us most often- about marriage/family, other relationships; solutions to problems; life-changing decisions, etc.- is through His written Word.

-God has set the Office of the Teacher in the Body of Christ to instruct the church in the Word of God, and the way of the Lord; but the Holy Spirit, who indwells every regenerated/born-again Christian, gives believers understanding of God’s Word, wisdom, and directs us on a day-to-day basis.

-Just as there are earthly, natural senses by which we interact with our world ( seeing, touching, tasting, smelling, hearing), there are also spiritual senses , by which believers- especially mature ones- discern good and/or from evil; truth and/or from deception; right and/or from wrong.

- Christ’s true and committed disciples know His voice , will not be deceived, and follow after “strangers”- or false and /or ungodly leaders, teachings, ideas.

Addendum to last week’s “ Final thoughts: At the beginning of this section on last week ( Week 12), I named some of the major events on the eschatological “calendar”, so to speak. I noticed that I left out the New Heaven, New Earth, New Jerusalem. My apologies.
